Ep62 In Conversation with Saz Vora
Saz Vora is an author of East African Asian origin who migrated with her family to England in the ‘60s to Coventry, West Midlands, where she grew up straddling British and Gujarati culture. Before she started writing South Asian melodrama, she had a successful career in Television Production and Teaching specialising in Film and Media Studies to A Level. As a writer she draws on her upbringing in England and the layers of complexity of living with her Indian heritage and her Britishness and uses this to create stories of adult themes ignored in South Asian families. She gets her inspiration from listening to music, exploring world cuisine, and watching all things related to film and television.
Saz's novels are:
Her debut novel is in two parts, a retelling of our baby loss journey:

Where Have We Come - Contemporary Women’s Fiction, Book Club Reads, Multicultural
She is running an ebook sale from 17th December until 31st December for her debut duet of My Heart Sings Your Song and Where Have We Come.
